Preface
It is my great pleasure to host the 1st annual international symposium of The Japanese Society of Hematology (JSH) focusing on “Seven Wonders of Erythropoiesis” in Akita, where we celebrate the start of the “annual international symposium” of JSH. On behalf of the JSH, it is our great pleasure to welcome members and non-members alike to our annual symposium in Akita, Japan July 16-17, 2010.
This first year’s Scientific Program includes cutting-edge scientific presentations by an outstanding cadre of speakers in 7 sessions over a two-day period. Oral and Poster presentations by young, promising future-leaders in the field of Erythropoiesis are also a highlight of the meeting. Seven sessions focusing on “Seven Wonders of Erythropoiesis” includes Enucleation, Ribosomal proteins, Yield of red cells, Transcription factors, Heme and iron, Red cell aplasia and Oligodeoxynucleotide (ODN) and micro RNA. All of these fields have been rapidly progressed and earned privilege of understanding frontier medical science. I am delighted to announce that we were able to invite eight leading scientists to this symposium. Among them, we invited four distinguished scientists from abroad.
Akita is located in the north-northeast from Tokyo with a distance of about 1000 km and a famous prefecture as one of the most beautiful land in Japan. Akita offers attendees a wealth of all sorts of delicacies, a variety of traditional foods and a hot springs with a variety of ingredients.
